Women's Lives in Early Hongkong

I'm delighted to post the first article here, on nursing in the early years of the last century, by Diane O'Hare.  Diane has a background in archives and library management and is currently really busy as chair of The Helena May, but has kindly found time to write this fascinating article.

As this extract of a response to the report the previous day on the conditions endured by nurses in Hongkong at the time suggests, service in the colony came at a price to the women's own health.
