Praying for books, or the trials of a long-distance author

Well, you're invited to the Waterstones Watford UK launch .... Thursday 21st September 6.30 to 8 pm. Come and have a glass of wine with us, there'll be a rolling slide show of pictures from old Hong Kong and I'll be giving a few 'mini-talks' - 5 minute snapshots of the Policeman's Life. But if you feel minded to offer a quick prayer to whichever saint it is who's the patron of books stuck in container depots, I'd be grateful. Blacksmith Books have airmailed me a box so we will have books on the night - but if you notice badly chewed fingernails you'll understand.
